NO COINCIDENCE

Early this week I had read a short devotion. You know how sometimes you are going on through your day and something happens, you see someone, situations come together and you think man what a coincidence! This devotion was sharing that there is no coincidence for God. When you look up the definition of coincidence the first synonym is accident. Again I dont think God makes accidents. He has his purposes and reasons and its all perfect.
We got home from our ASP in Mbonisweni on Tuesday and I felt quite defeated. I was trying to help Njabulo with his school homework and you could see in his eyes he was lost. I kept wondering how he has continued to move up in grades when its difficult for him to even solve 20+10. Unfortunately, this is just one child I'm speaking of. Talking with Candis, an awesome sister and staff member, afterwards and trying to speak out how the Tutoring program can walk this out we came to a conclusion. Teachers. Volunteer teachers from the local communities and from abroad.
That night getting into bed there was still some hopelessness inside of me. How can we begin such a big issue. The next morning I woke up and turned on the wifi on my phone. A message comes through and it is one of my friends from back home. She tells me that once she is finished with her teaching degree she is coming right to Africa, (no pressure Kamarie). Immediately I laughed because I knew that it was no accident but God. There was no weird coincidence that this friend just so happened to send a message exactly what Candis and I talked about the day before. See God has everything set in plan. He is amazing at speaking to us in crazy ways. God wanted me to understand that things will come together one day. But now I can begin to walk knowing God has every thing set and ready. What am I walking into? I dont know but God provides with the switch of his light.

Just thinking now, I have another quick story that happened this Saturday!

So a group of us on base gathered up an adventure to a list of tourist destinations. Some waterfalls, hiking and a dam surrounded by a massive canyon. It was pretty awesome. But as we were halfway through our 2 hour drive we pass a town called Sabie. Just out of curiosity I asked my very special South African lady, Nontobeko, if she knows anyone that lives in Sabie. She tells me that she had a best friend move to Sabie some years ago and hadnt seen her in two years. As the day was coming to a close and we began to drive back home we decieded to stop at a small waterfall hidden in the woods. After some pictures and soaking in the beauty it was time to go. As we were walking out of the woods a group of girls were entering. Out of nowhere squeals and noises I cant even explain burst out of Nontobeko and another girl, her best friend that moved to Sabie. Funny enough, after the squeals, laughs, and hugs I tell Nontobeko what a coincidence that was to see her friend as we were talking about her earlier in the day. But as I spoke the word coincidence I was reminded that it was no accident. Again how could something like that happen at the most random waterfall and yet an hour away from where her friend lives. When I adjust and believe that it was God that made it happen, this gives me a beautiful picture of who our Father is. He notices every desire in our hearts, big or small.

Next time you say or think,"what a coincidence!" look at it a different way and see if you can notice Gods hand in it.
